Yogas

of all the yogas
for the communion of souls
hatha is the trickiest
it is so beguilingly physical

Whiskey Tasting

Getting to love whiskey (... or ... fill in the gap)
happens when the narrative of tasting it
is indistinguishable from the recursive tongue/tasting
of the narratives and idea/objects of my various brains
left/right, un/conscious, human/reptilian (add to taste ...)

What a fea(s)t whisky is!

(Add a picture of a peach-tree here, if you've seen a good one lately ... )

Chorus: I don't know any philosophy [roy]  (de capo).

Note: this needs to be read along with the last few posts in this discussion in Modpo2013

Slow day ...

What if ...

Every equinox (20th March is the next one)
when the earth and the sun are just in balance ...

was declared a global 'slow day'

slow movement
slow traffic
slow trains
slow planes (its possible)
slow boats
(s)low energy use
slow shopping
slow love (to taste)
slow meditation
 ... in a global 24hour 'virtual choir'
a multi-Skype Ommmmm / Stimmung for 6 (billion) voices

We could ask the Dalia Lama to start it ...

Could we achieve a 2% dip in global GDP for that day?

... any thoughts?

Oysters

"self -organised processes are generated
by incessantly perturbing a system
away from its equilibrium"

that's why oysters
always have a wry smile
on their faces

Learning #3

Conundrum

"Mummy, how come we have nightmares?
I thought our brains were meant to be on our side?"
[a gift from a child, of course]

Jonah and the Whale #2

a strange rumbling emanated
from the rose garden at No. 10 yesterday
 - the satisfied burp of the conservative party machine
as it swallowed up the liberal democrats.
